DALLAS – A $36.7 million school bond referendum going to voters in Bartlesville, Okla., in September will not include $5 million to build storm shelters at the district’s six elementary schools.

Trustees of Washington County, Okla., Independent School District No. 30 had discussed putting the shelter project on the Sept. 10 ballot as a separate question, but voted unanimously June 27 for a capital program that does not include the shelters.
