Industrial production fell 0.6% in March, the Federal Reserve reported Friday.
The production decrease followed a revised 0.6% drop in February, first reported as a 0.5% decline.
Capacity utilization dropped to 74.8% in March from a revised 75.3% the previous month, first reported as 75.4%.
Economists polled by Thomson Reuters projected a flat reading for industrial production and a 75.4% capacity utilization rate.
