NEW YORK - U.S. inflationary pressures were slightly higher in May, as the U.S. future inflation gauge climbed to 102.3 from an upwardly revised 101.4 in April, originally reported as 101.2, according to data released Friday morning by the Economic Cycle Research Institute.
“Though the USFIG increased in its latest reading, it remains below last year’s cyclical high. Thus, U.S. inflation pressures are still somewhat subdued,” ECRI Chief Operations Officer Lakshman Achuthan said in a release.
