The Kansas Supreme Court heard oral arguments last week on the state’s new gambling law that allows casinos in Wyandotte, Cherokee, Sumner, and Ford counties, and slot machines at racetracks in Frontenac and Kansas City.

The law passed in 2007 calls for the casinos to be owned and operated by the Kansas Lottery. The lottery will contract with developers to build and operate casinos.
