CHARLES AGEMIAN

Charles A. Agemian, a former executive vice president of operations at Chase Manhattan Bank, and a former chairman and chief executive officer of Garden State National Bank, died Friday at North Jersey Medical Center. He was 86.

In addition to his positions at Chase and Garden State, Agemian, a native of Aleppo, Syria, who emigrated to the United States with his family in 1914, was an original trustee of the National Association of Banking Auditors and Controllers Research Institute and a chairman of the New York Clearing House Associations Committee on Taxation.

A resident of Spring Lake, N.J., and Palm Beach, Fla., Agemian is survived by his wife, Mary, his sister, Isabel Wilson, two daughters, and six grandchildren.
