Bullard Repeats: Policy Easier

Using thresholds instead of dates and open-ended outright purchases instead of "Operation Twist" turned monetary policy more effective, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis President James Bullard said Thursday.

In a speech similar to the one he presented on February 14, Bullard said the stance of U.S. monetary policy is considerably easier in 2013 than in 2012, according to prepared text released by the Fed.
