Municipal Banker – Public Finance
Multi-Bank Securities, Inc. (MBS) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) serving institutional investors since 1988. The firm operates in nine locations across the United States and specializes in the sales, trading, and underwriting of institutional fixed-income securities.
Multi-Bank Securities, Inc. is seeking an experienced Public Finance Banker to lead and expand the firm's Public Finance investment banking platform. This role is responsible for providing analytical and transactional support related to the structuring and issuance of municipal bonds, primarily through negotiated sales. The successful candidate will leverage existing municipal relationships and Multi-Bank's veteran-owned status and strong capital base to drive revenue growth.
MBS is an active underwriter in the competitive municipal market and maintains strong relationships with asset managers, money managers, municipalities, banks, and hedge funds. The firm is also an active underwriter of agency securities, certificates of deposit (CDs), and corporate bonds.
This position requires the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with municipal issuers and to structure new-issue financings that meet clients' funding objectives while generating solid revenue for the firm.
Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience (experience with a diversity-owned firm preferred)
- Deep knowledge of debt capital markets and municipal debt structures
- Have experience specifically with Housing transactions.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and transaction structuring skills
- General understanding of the bond and investment banking industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client and sales relationships
- A clean FINRA record
- Required FINRA licenses: Series 50, Series 7, and Series 63
- Relocation may not be required
