As CFO, you'll be a key member of Senior Leadership, responsible for the overall financial strategy and stewardship of the organization. You will ensure resource alignment with our mission and strategic goals while overseeing finance, accounting, and treasury functions. You'll also serve as a spokesperson to the industry on financial matters and provide high level of cost-effective services, deployment of resources, and execution of strategy and integration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic financial leadership consistent with MSRB's mission, vision, and long-term objectives.
- Direct the Accounting and Finance division, upholding excellence in financial reporting, planning, budgeting and compliance.
- Oversee efficient financial operations (including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, monthly close, tax compliance filings) and reporting.
- Oversee annual budget process, including external stakeholder engagement, to inform and support the development of a budget aligned with MSRB's long-term strategic goals.
- Oversee treasury functions, investment strategies, and vendor partnerships.
- Ensure comprehensive internal controls and enterprise risk management.
- Guide the formulation of data-driven financial policies and analyses based on industry best practices.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and professional development across the team.
- Lead the development and execution of corporate insurance and risk mitigation strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage and organizational protection.
- Represent the MSRB at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings on financial topics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA or equivalent advanced qualifications strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, including executive-level roles.
- Deep expertise in financial strategy, budgeting, accounting operations, and risk management.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams, implementing change, and mentoring talent.
- Superior communication and presentation skills, including experience in public speaking (Board presentations, industry conferences, stakeholder meetings).
- Experience with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and internal audit strongly preferred.
Target Salary for this position is $280,000 - $300,000 Annually
