Senior Advisor - Kosmont Financial Services

Kosmont Financial Services (KFS), a dba of Kosmont Transactions Services, Inc., (www.kosmontfinancial.com) an SEC/MSRB-registered Municipal Advisory firm, is seeking a Senior Advisor to join our highly regarded public finance advisory team. We provide independent, client-first financial advisory services to cities, counties, special districts, and other public agencies as well as private entities that require public finance expertise, helping them achieve their capital, redevelopment, and economic development goals.

About the Role As a Senior Advisor with KFS, you will work directly with public sector leaders to structure and implement financing strategies for infrastructure, housing, and economic development projects. You will provide objective, regulated financial advice on debt issuance, redevelopment finance, and long-term fiscal strategies that support sustainable community growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise municipalities and public agencies on municipal bond issuance, debt restructuring, and capital financing.
  • Develop financial models, cash flow projections, and debt capacity analyses.
  • Support clients with public-private partnerships (P3s), economic development tools, and redevelopment finance strategies.
  • Prepare clear, professional reports, presentations, and staff documents for city councils, boards, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all SEC/MSRB regulations and uphold the firm's independent advisory standards.
  • Manage multiple client projects while maintaining strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Public Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred) Series 50 MA designation a plus.
  • 2–3+ years of experience in municipal finance, public agency advisory, or capital markets.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with municipal credit, debt instruments (bonds, COPs, assessment districts), and public sector budgeting.
  • A passion for public service, integrity, and independent advisory work.
