There's an uncertain and shaky road ahead in regulation. The federal agencies have all started doing rules on their own. For example, the OCC recently finalized major reforms to the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act without the approval of the FDIC and Fed. And Comptroller Joseph Otting resigned the same day he finalized the rule. Now national banks will have to comply to a totally different standard than the rest of U.S. banks. More importantly, the presidential election could completely unwind what regulators are doing now. Rachel Witkowski, policy and fintech reporter with American Banker and Brian Brooks, Acting Comptroller of the Currency, will discuss this important topic, along with understanding crypto currency guidance and leveraging AI for risk management. Don’t miss this important and up front conversation on the shifting atmosphere of regulation in times of social unrest and uncertainty.
