Deal of the Year 2022

The Bond Buyer's Deal of the Year awards will mark the 22nd year it has recognized outstanding achievement in municipal finance. The event, to be held Dec. 5 in New York City, will also include the presentation of the Freda Johnson Awards for Trailblazing Women in Public Finance.

The 10 regional and categorical winners, all of whom will be finalists for the national Deal of the Year award, will be announced the week of November 13.

John Dillon, director of finance and risk management for the San Diego Couty Regional Airport Authority, accepts the Far West Deal of the Year award.

Allison Swisher, director of public utilities for the city of Joliet, Illinois, accepts the Midwest Deal of the Year.

Jamie Hurst Watts, a partner with the Long Law firm, accepts the Southeast Deal of the Year award on behalf of the the Louisiana Utilities Restoration Corp.

Joel Paulsen, executive director of the Metro Flood Diversion Authority, accepts the P3 Deal of the Year award

Sue Perez, the Massachusetts deputy treasurer, accepts the ESG-Green Deal of the Year award.

Shannon Goodsell, superintendent of the Window Rock Unified School District, accepts the Southwest Deal of the Year award.

Jeremy Ebie, CEO of Phoenix Infrastructure Group, accepts the Northeast Deal of the Year award.

Greg Metzger, CEO of Yellowstone Fiber, accepts the Small Issuer Deal of the Year award.

Bill Poole, director of finance or Alabama, accepts the Innovative Deal of the Year award.

Tom Miller, CEO of UofL Health, accepts the Healthcare Deal of the Year award.
