NABL Warns IRS Decision on CDD in Florida Could Have Far-Reaching Impact

The Internal Revenue Service's tentative decision that the Village Center Community Development District in Florida is not a political subdivision could have far-reaching effects on special purpose districts set up for municipal bond issues nationwide.

If the details in the article about the landowner is accurate then I applaud the IRS for calling into question the use of tax exempt financing for the housing development. Tax exempt financing is already because of the Nation's debt crisis and examples like this only add to the arguement that they

The prior comment posted was incomplete and should have stated that "Tax exempt financing is already under exaimination and the benefits being questioned. This type of use only supports the opposition's argument to tax exempt financing .
