Consumer Sentiment Increased in February

The University of Michigan's final February consumer sentiment index reading was 77.5 compared to the preliminary 75.1 and the final January 74.2 reading, according to market sources.

Economists had predicted a 75.1 reading for the index.

The expectations index was 71.6, compared to 67.6 earlier in the month, and 69.3 in January.

The current conditions index was 86.9, compared to 86.8 earlier in the month, and 81.8 in January.
