Flint Still Shedding People

Flint lost 1.2% of its population over the last year — the most of any large city in the country, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Flint’s population totaled 111,475 last July, down from 112,857 in 2008, according to a local report. The report compares cities with populations over 100,000.

It’s the second year in a row that Flint has topped the list. In the Midwest, Cleveland and Dayton, both in Ohio, were also in the top five, the Census Bureau said.
