I'm Andrew Cohen, and this is your Muni minute New Jersey lawmakers head into the home stretch this week trying to craft a budget deal before a July first deadline Governor Phil Murphy has clashed with his own Democratic party that controls the state legislature over Revenue raisers needed to close a massive budget deficit.

The first year Governor has proposed a Millionaire's tax and increasing the sales tax while legislative leaders prefer implementing a two-year surcharge on corporations earning above 1 million dollars in profits. If no agreement is reached in time.
