UBS brings in five more municipal specialists

UBS Wealth Management Americas brought aboard five more municipal specialists, as it continues to inflate its newly revived public finance practice.

“In line with our plans to have a leading national public finance footprint, UBS continues to make key hires in both industry specific and regional groups,” Peter Hill, head of public finance, said in an internal memo Wednesday.

UBS said in April it would re-enter the public finance business, citing “increased demand for double and triple tax exempt securities in the current rising interest rate environment.” The latest hires bring the total added to the public finance roster to 37.
