The Treasury Department said Tuesday it will sell $50 billion of four-week discount bills Wednesday.
There are currently $59.999 billion of four-week bills outstanding.
The bills settle Sept. 5 and are due Oct. 3.
Federal Reserve banks hold nothing in maturing bills in their own accounts.
