The Treasury will auction $30 billion of 91-day bills and $29 billion of 182-day discount bills. The 91-day bills are dated Sept. 3 and due Dec. 3. The 182-day bills are dated Sept. 3 and due March 4, 2010.

Tuesday, September 1

Construction spending figures for July are released by the Commerce Department.

Pending home sales figures for July are released by the National Association of Realtors.

Wednesday, September 2

Factory order, shipment and inventory figures for July are released by the Commerce Department.

Revised productivity and labor cost figures for the second quarter are released by the Labor Department.

The Federal Open Market Committee releases minutes from its Aug. 11-12 meeting.

Thursday, September 3

Initial jobless claims for the week ending Aug. 29 are released by the Labor Department.

Friday, September 4

The employment situation for August is released by the Labor Department.
