The Treasury will auction $27 billion of 91-day bills and $27 billion of 182-day discount bills. The 91-day bills are dated Nov. 6 and due Feb. 5, 2009, and the 182-day bills are dated Nov. 6 and due May 7, 2009.

Construction spending figures for September are released by the Commerce Department.

Tuesday, November 4
Factory order, shipment, and inventory figures for September are released by the Commerce Department.

Wednesday, November 5
The Treasury announces the auction of $40 billion of three-year notes, $16 billion of 10-year bills, and $7 billion of 30-year bonds.

Thursday, November 6
Initial jobless claims for the week ending Nov. 1 are released by the Labor Department.

Preliminary productivity and labor cost figures for the third quarter are released by the Labor Department.

Friday, November 7
The employment report for October is released by the Labor Department.

Pending home sales figures for September are released by the National Association of Realtors.

Wholesale trade figures for September are released by the Commerce Department.

Consumer credit figures for September are released by the Treasury Department.
