The Treasury will auction $30 billion of 91-day bills and $27 billion of 182-day discount bills. The 91-day bills settle July 19 and are due Oct. 18. The 182-day bills settle July 19 and are due Jan. 17, 2013. Currently, there are $52.999 billion of 91-day bills outstanding and no 182-day bills.

Retail sales figures for June are released by the Commerce Department.

Business inventory and sales figures for May are released by the Commerce Department.

 

Tuesday, July 17

Consumer price index figures for June are released by the Labor Department.

Industrial production and capacity figures for June are released by the Federal Reserve Board.

 

Wednesday, July 18

Housing start and building permit figures for June are released by the Commerce Department.

The Beige Book, a summary of economic commentary compiled from the 12 Federal Reserve Banks, is released by the Fed.

 

Thursday, July 19

Initial jobless claims for the week ending July 14 are released by the Labor Department.

Existing home sales for June are released by the National Association of Realtors.

Leading indicators for June are released by the Conference Board.

The Treasury will auction $15 billion of 10-year inflation-protected notes that are dated July 15 and due July 15, 2022.
