The Treasury will auction $29 billion of 91-day bills and $27 billion of 182-day discount bills. The 91-day bills settle Jan. 12 and are due April 12. The 182-day bills settle Jan. 12 and are due July 12. Currently, there are $26.999 billion of 91-day bills outstanding and no 182-day bills.

Consumer credit figures for November are released by the Federal Reserve.

 

Tuesday, January 10

Wholesale trade figures for November are released by the Commerce Department.

The Treasury will auction $25 billion of one-year bills that are dated Jan.12 and due Jan.10, 2013.

The Treasury will auction $32 billion of three-year notes that settle Jan. 15 and due Jan. 15, 2015.

 

Wednesday, January 11

The Beige Book, a summary of economic commentary compiled from the 12 Federal Reserve Banks, is released by the Federal Reserve.

The Treasury will auction $21 billion of 9-year, 10-month notes that settle Jan. 17 and are due Nov. 15, 2021.

 

Thursday, January 12

Initial jobless claims for the week ending Jan. 7 are released by the Labor Department.

Retail sales figures for December are released by the Commerce Department.

Business inventory and sales figures for November are released by the Commerce Department.

The federal budget deficit or surplus for December is released by the Treasury Department.

The Treasury will auction $13 billion of 29-year, 10-month notes that settle Jan. 17 and are due Nov. 15, 2041.

 

Friday, January 13

International trade figures for November are released by the Commerce Department.

Import and export price figures for December are released by the Labor Department.

Preliminary consumer sentiment figures for January are released by the University of Michigan.
