Monday, October 31
The Treasury will auction $29 billion of 91-day bills and $27 billion of 182-day discount bills. The 91-day bills will settle Nov. 3 and are due Feb. 2, 2012. The 182-day bills will settle Nov. 3 and are due May 3, 2012. Currently, there are $24.000 billion of 91-day bills outstanding and $23.999 billion of 182-day bills.

Tuesday, November 1
Construction spending figures for September are released by the Commerce Department.
The Federal Reserve Open Market Committee begins a two-day meeting to discuss monetary policy.

Wednesday, November 2
The Federal Open Market Committee concludes its two-day meeting and announces any changes in monetary policy.

Thursday, November 3
Initial jobless claims for the week ending Oct. 29 are released by the Labor Department.
Preliminary productivity and cost figures for the third quarter are released by the Labor Department.
Factory order, shipment and inventory figures for September are released by the Commerce Department.

Friday, November 4
The employment report for October is released by the Labor Department.
