Sycamore hires Chicago-based professional

CHICAGO – Indianapolis-based Sycamore Advisors LLC has hired Olyvia Jarmoszka to bolster its Chicago office.

Jarmoszka joined the firm as a vice president in Chicago, filling a void left by Melanie Shaker’s departure last year to join S&P Global Ratings.

Jarmoszka most recently served as an associate for Hutchinson Shockey Erley & Co. in its Houston office but she previously worked in the firm’s Chicago officein various capacities with municipal clients in Texas and the Midwest on analytics and deal execution.

Hamilton said Jarmoszka brings with her experience assisting governmental issuers through early-stage bond structuring discussions, preparing quantitative analyses, reviewing legal documents, assisting with rating agency presentations, and coordinating bond pricings.

Jarmoszka is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and the Chicago Municipal Analyst Society and also served for five years as administrator for the Bond Club of Chicago.

At Sycamore, Jarmoszka will be covering Chicago and the state as well as other local government borrowers including the Illinois Finance Authority, Chicago Park District, Cook County, Chicago Public Schools, the Regional Transportation Authority, and Chicago Transit Authority. The firm is an advisor to the IFA and water district and most recently advised on the RTA’s recent competitive sale.

Sycamore said it has advised on $5.4 billion of financings in recent years. The firm ranked fifth for the first half of the year among advisors on Indiana-based deals, according to Thomson Reuters.
