Retail sales grew 2.2% in the week ended March 2, after a 2.7% increase the week before, according to the weekly same-store sales report released by Johnson Redbook Tuesday.
February was up 2.6% from February 2012 (relative to a target of a 2.9% gain), while 1.3% better than January (relative to a target of a 1.6% gain).
Inflows returned to muni mutual funds as investors added $200.3 million for the week ending Wednesday after $1.474 billion of outflows, according to LSEG Lipper.
