About 3,733,200 online job postings appeared on leading Internet job boards in March, 194,300 fewer than the 3,927,500 posted in February, an 8% drop, the Conference Board reported yesterday.

In March, there were 2.4 online job ads per 100 persons in the U.S. labor force. Of the 3,733,200 unduplicated ads in March, 2,542,500 were new. On a year-over-year basis, online job ads decreased 0.6%, the first year-over-year decline, while new ads rose 2.0%, the lowest annual increase posted since the series began in 2005.
