"I am so pleased that my colleagues from across the country will experience all that our beautiful state has to offer," said Magaziner, who chairs NAST's financial education and empowerment committee.

More than 500 people are expected, with Magaziner estimating the direct economic impact on the region to more than $600,000. Washington, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis and New Orleans have hosted past conferences. The 2018 event will be in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Participants will discuss best practices and innovative policies in banking, college savings, financial education & empowerment, state debt and unclaimed property.

“Treasurer Magaziner has been an important part our national work, especially in the area of financial literacy,” said NAST deputy director Chris Hunter.
