One-Year Bills Go At 2.105% High Rate

The Treasury Department yesterday auctioned $16 billion of one-year bills at a 2.105% high yield, a price of 97.871611.

The coupon equivalent was 2.169%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 3.30.

Tenders at the high rate were allotted 13.55%. The median yield was 2.070%. The low yield was 1.900%.

The bills have an issue date of June 5 and are due June 4, 2009.

Tenders totaled $52,803,801,100 and the Treasury accepted $16,000,006,100, including $76,321,100 of noncompetitive.

Treasury also auctioned $23 billion of four-week bills at a 1.880% high yield, a price of 99.853778.

The coupon equivalent was 1.909%. The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.72.

Tenders at the high rate were allotted 74.64%. The median yield was 1.840%. The low yield was 1.750%.

The bills have an issue date of June 5 and are due July 3.

Tenders totaled $62,516,197,800 and the Treasury accepted $23,000,077,000, including $375,197,000 of noncompetitive.
