MAC Taps Whitt, Lamme

Douglas Whitt, senior vice president with Southwest Securities Inc. in Dallas, was elected chairman of the Texas Municipal Advisory Council at the group’s 54th annual conference in San Antonio.

Duncan Lamme, managing director with RBC Capital Markets in Houston, was elected vice chairman.

New directors Tim Kelley, Garry Kimball, and Rhonda Cisarik were added to the 10-person board.

Kelley is managing director at Coastal Securities Inc. in San Antonio. Kimball is a senior vice president with First Southwest Co. in Austin. Cisarik is vice president of the GMS Group LLC in Houston.

Each new director was elected to a three-year term.

Immediate past chairman Duane Westerman of SAMCO Capital Markets Inc. will remain on the board in an ex-officio post.

Texas MAC acts as a disclosure agent for all things related to municipal debt in the Lone Star State. In 2007, the MAC was recognized by the Municipal Forum of New York with a special award for excellence and innovation in disclosure.
