Voters in Liberty Lake rejected a $9.8 million bond measure.

More than 61% of the city’s voters said no, according to unofficial returns from the vote-by-mail election that concluded Tuesday.

Bond proceeds would have financed a combination library and community center for the city of about 6,500 residents in Spokane County near the Idaho border.
