Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it raised its long-term rating and underlying rating on Larimer County, Colo.'s certificates of participation to AA-plus from AA-minus.
The outlook is stable.
"The rating action is based on our recently released local GO criteria and improved financial position," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Bryan Moore.
The ratings reflect the agency's assessment of the following factors for the county: strong economy, very strong budgetary flexibility, strong budgetary performance, and very strong liquidity.
