J.R. Rieger joins Triangle Park Capital Markets Data

Veteran municipal bond analyst J.R. Rieger has joined Triangle Park Capital Markets Data as a principal, the firm announced on Thursday.

With over 36 years of fixed-income experience, Rieger will be a senior analyst and product manager for the firm’s municipal bond data offerings. He will based in New York.

Rieger is the latest addition to the firm’s lineup. In March, Triet Nguyen joined TPCMD as a principal and head of municipal credit and professional services, working on the development of credit analytics and trading software. He is based in Chicago.

Triangle Park, a fixed-income data and analysis provider, focuses on managerial and consultancy services in the interpretation and integration of OTC data in support of overall market surveillance. The company, based in New Hampshire, is part of the consortium that comprises data provider Municipal Bond Information Services. MBIS data can be accessed on the Bond Buyer Data Workstation.

Rieger brings a strong foundation in leveraging technology and data for bond valuations and market performance indexing and benchmarking. Most recently, Rieger was managing director and global head of fixed-income indices at S&P Dow Jones Indices. Prior to joining SPDJI, Rieger was a 26-year veteran of S&P’s bond valuation business.

Rieger is a graduate of the Widener University with a B.S. in Business Administration and Master’s from Adelphi University’s Robert B. Willumstad School of Business.

Rieger will remain a commentator and presenter on the bond markets and continues his blog “The Rieger Report.” Active in the bond market community, he is a member of the Fixed Income Analyst Society, the Municipal Bond Club of New York, New York Society of Security Analysts, Municipal Analysts Group of New York, and the National Federation of Municipal Analysts.
