Allison Corbally joins PFM Asset Management

BRADENTON, Fla. – PFM Asset Management LLC has added Allison Corbally as a director in Atlanta.

Corbally, a 25-year veteran of the financial services industry, will provide investment advice to endowments, foundations, pension funds, and similar institutions.

Corbally has the experience PFM was looking for, said Steven Alexander, a partner and managing director whose practice focuses on asset investments and treasury management in the South.

“She has worked with the kind of clients PFM works with, not only in the South but around the nation,” Alexander said. “We were looking for someone who is a champion for clients and a champion for PFM’s philosophy, which is taking care of clients and providing them the right solutions for their challenges.”

Previously, Corbally worked with State Street Global Advisors as a vice president. Before that she worked for Invesco as an associate partner and global product specialist.

Her experience includes working with institutional clients.

Corbally said she joined PFM because its philosophy encourages advisors to understand the “broader picture” of clients’ investment plans, rather than individual mandated investments.

“This approach fosters a more meaningful discussion,” she said. “An optimal risk/return profile is the objective, and in order to get closer to that goal you need to take a more holistic approach due to the complexity and unpredictability of the market.”

Corbally received a bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont, School of Management, and a master of business administration from Boston University.

She has served as a board member for the Children’s Museum of Atlanta for six years.

PFM Asset Management had $119.6 billion in total assets under management and $42.1 billion in non-discretionary assets under advisement as of June 30.
