Miami-Dade County is seeking an experienced and results-oriented professional to perform a variety of financial and analytical duties related to the issuance and management of County debt.

Incumbents in this class are responsible for preparing budgets and expense analyses for debt instruments; preparing recommendations for policies and operating procedures; assisting in the development and administration of County issued debt obligations, including providing assistance during all phases of bond financing transactions; exercising independent judgment in the application of professional knowledge of finance to the development and administration of County debt obligations; and preparing written and oral presentations at public meetings for bond rating agencies, Board of County Commissioners and their staff, management and the public. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience and a proven track record in professional management providing a variety of complex financial analyzes and administration within a large complex organization. General supervision is received from a professional superior who holds he incumbent responsible for the professional management of assigned responsibilities in bond development and administration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Public Administration. A minimum of three years of financial bond analysis and/or accounting experience is required.
