Karleen manages the municipal research team within the Municipal Fixed Income Group at Wilmington Trust Investment Advisors, Inc., the investment advisory arm of M&T Bank and Wilmington Trust. In this role, Karleen heads the team charged with analyzing tax-exempt issues, determining the suitability of bonds for client portfolios. Karleen and her team also provide analysis of broader municipal market and sector trends.

Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, Karleen was a managing director at National Public Finance Guarantee Corporation, a financial guarantor subsidiary of MBIA, Inc. She managed teams in the areas of new business, insured portfolio management and remediation, primarily focusing on the not-for-profit health care sector. She began her career as a commercial banker at The First National Bank of Chicago.

Karleen holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan and a BS in Economics from Nebraska Wesleyan University. She is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Philadelphia. She also is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and The Municipal Analyst Group of New York. Karleen serves as a board member and was past board chair of The Music School of Delaware.
