Since 1986, Tim has been devoted full time to On-Call clients. Prior to joining Ernst & Young in 2002, he was with Arthur Andersen. The Ernst & Young On-Call practice provides knowledgeable, cutting-edge advice to investment bankers and other intermediaries on the theoretical and practical tax and accounting aspects of the financial instruments, capital markets products, merger and acquisition structures, and financing techniques they develop for their clients. Tim’s particular area of experience has been in merger and acquisition accounting, most recently including SFAS 141 and SFAS 142 issues (including the application of SOP 03-3 to the loan portfolios of acquired financial institutions and the accounting issues involved in FDIC-assisted transactions) and SFAS 141R and SFAS 160 implementation. He has also worked in related areas such as dispositions, joint ventures, spin-off/split-off/carve-out transactions and LBO/ recapitalizations.In his first 15 years of service in public accounting, Tim gained experience in the audits of numerous clients engaged in the manufacturing, leasing, construction and service industries.A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a CPA in New York and New Jersey, Tim is also a frequent speaker on accounting issues within Ernst & Young and to client groups as well as at outside seminars and technical sessions of various organizations. He is a 1971 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
