Co-Founder

Mary is the founder of dcIQ, a consulting firm that works at the intersection of innovation, investment and public policy. Mary is particularly focused on the potentially transformative power of digital currencies. �She is working to shed light on the regulatory and policy decisions needed to unlock the positive economic and social potential of a global �Internet of Value�. �Before forming dcIQ in August 2013, Mary served as General Counsel and Vice President of Public Policy for Silicon Valley Bank, the leading provider of financial services to innovative companies and their investors around the world. Before joining SVB, Mary served as General Counsel and Special Counsel for New Skies Satellites, a Netherlands-based company that owned and operated a global satellite communications system. Mary's work with SVB and New Skies built on more than a decade working in and with Washington, D.C., both on the staff of Senator Edward M. Kennedy and as an attorney with Goldberg, Godles, Wiener & Wright, where she advised companies on policy and regulatory issues before the Federal Communications Commission. Mary serves on the Boards of Green Dot Corp. and Green Dot Bank and on the Advisory Board of Stanford�s Institute for Research in the Social Sciences (IRiSS). �Mary holds a B.A. in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a J.D. from Stanford Law School.�
