BRADENTON, Fla. - Wilmington Trust opened a new office in Birmingham, Ala., as part of an expansion of its corporate trust services in the Southeast.

Six industry veterans have been hired to work in the new office.

The Birmingham team will provide public finance and escrow services across the region due to increasing demand for those services, the bank said in a June 8 release. The team will report to Robert Brown, administrative vice president of the Public Finance and Agency group.

"We're very pleased to bring this established team of industry veterans to Wilmington Trust," Brown said. "The Birmingham team enjoys a strong reputation in the region, which benefits our Southeast expansion and complements our national public finance practice."

The new members of the public finance team are Cynthia Duke, Ann Harris-Johnson, Caroline Oakes, and Kara Lee Partin.

Donald Evans and Jean Dobbins are members of the escrow team.

They previously worked for Regions Bank.

Wilmington Trust's new office is in Financial Center at 505 North 20th St., Suite 350, Birmingham.
