P.R. Oct. Revenues Come in 12% Above Projections

Puerto Rico's October revenues came in 11.9% above the government's projections.

October's general fund net revenue total of $700 million was also 11.7% above October 2015's total, Puerto Rico's Treasury reported in a press release.

With October's results, General Fund net revenues are now 2.3% above the government's projections for the first four months of the fiscal year. The total net revenue haul from July through October of $2.64 billion is also up 2.9% from same period a year earlier.

In the press release, the Treasury said sales and use tax revenues exceeded budgeted expectations in the first four fiscal months by 7%. In October the sales and use tax revenues were 10.1% above those found in October 2015.
