The Philadelphia Area Municipal Analysts Society will provide its 2017 market outlook at the group's Jan. 19 meeting.

The event scheduled from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Janney Montgomery Scott on 1717 Arch Street, will feature insight from leading public finance analysts and strategists. The panel will feature Sean Carney, director and municipal strategist at BlackRock; Natalie Cohen, head of municipal research at Wells Fargo Securities; Tom Weyl, head of new business development at National Public Finance Guarantee; Matt Posner, founder and partner of Court Street Group Research; Michael Zezas, executive director and chief municipal strategist at Morgan Stanley, and Tom McLoughlin, managing director at UBS.

"We are using an 'unconference' format, which is a free flowing exchange of ideas and topics are chosen by those in attendance," said Stephen Winterstein, PhAMAS secretary and chief municipal strategist at Wilmington Trust Advisors. "One thing we realized going into 2017 is that there are significant themes that could drive the market at any one time and it was difficult to choose the one or two leading themes. So, we are letting members decide what is important to them and we have some of the best strategists, analysts and minds in the business to help guide our discussions."

Build America Mutual is sponsoring the Jan. 19 PhAMAS meeting.
