Wells Fargo Securities, the capital markets and investment banking business of Wells Fargo & Co., added two managing directors in the public finance area, as Megan DeGrass joined the higher education and nonprofit team based in Boston and Evan Levine joined the transportation group in New York.

"We are excited to welcome Megan and Evan to Wells Fargo," Peter Hill, managing director and head of U.S. public finance for WFS, said in a press release. "Both are experienced, credentialed bankers who will add depth and breadth to assist our customers."

The addition of DeGrass establishes the first Wells Fargo public finance office in Massachusetts. Most recently a director with Raymond James and Associates, Inc., since 2008, she brings 20 years of general municipal and higher education experience in public finance and investment banking to Wells Fargo. Prior to 2008, DeGrass worked for UBS Investment Bank.

"Megan's in-depth higher education and general muni experience will enable our Wells Fargo team to expand coverage in the Commonwealth and regionally," said Sally Bednar, WFS managing director and co-head of higher education public finance banking.

Levine is an expert in transportation project finance and federal transportation programs. He brings 13 years of experience in transportation banking to Wells Fargo. Most recently, he was executive director and head of surface transportation for the municipal securities division of Morgan Stanley. Before that, Levine was a director for the transportation finance group of Citigroup's municipal securities division.

"Evan's experience and depth in transportation finance across all modes of surface  transportation broadens Wells Fargo's coverage of our clients nationally with an expanded focus on toll roads and complex transportation projects," said Nancy Feldman, WFS managing director and head of transportation public finance banking.

The Public Finance Investment Banking group is part of Wells Fargo Government & Institutional Banking, a Wholesale Banking business line.
