A 35-year veteran of corporate trust and the financial services industry will take the helm of the municipal and corporate divisions at U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services.

Joseph Giordano, currently manager of the firm's collateralized debt obligation (CDO) services division, will take leadership of the two divisions upon the April 15 retirement of executive vice president Terry McRoberts after more than 20 years, the firm said in a press release Monday.

Giordano, who helped the CDO division gain 49% market share in a little over four years, will continue to lead the European business for the firm which provides corporate trust services nationally and abroad.

"Joe is the ideal person to lead in this important role, as demonstrated by his decades of dedication and commitment to providing exceptional services to our clients," Terrance Dolan, vice chairman of U.S. Bank Wealth Management & Securities Services, said in the release.

Giordano's career also includes senior roles at J.P. Morgan Chase, where he managed CDO, asset-backed securities, mortgage-backed securities, and municipal and corporate business.

Bryan Calder, president of U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services, acknowledged the many contributions made by McRoberts throughout his career leading municipal and corporate finance administration as well as national sales since joining the firm in 1993.

Herb Schofield, currently the senior relationship management leader within the CDO group, will assume Giordano's role as leader of the U.S. division after five years with the firm.

U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services operates a network of 51 domestic offices and two international locations in London and Dublin.
