Siebert Brandford Shank continued its hiring spree and announced on Friday that it named Wei-Li Pai as National Head of its Quantitative Solutions Group and Philip Wasserman as a Senior Vice President. Both Pai and Wasserman will work out of Siebert’s New York City office.

Recently, Siebert announced it hired Rasheia R. Johnson as Senior Vice President to head the firm’s Philadelphia office.

“The addition of both Wei-Li and Philip are quite significant to the firm and will enhance our ability to provide cutting-edge ideas and financial strategies and solutions to clients throughout the nation,” Gary Hall, Siebert’s National Head of Public Finance, said in a press release on Friday.

Pai has more than 28 years of finance experience. She was most recently at Loop Capital Markets, where she headed that firm’s quantitative group and oversaw all analytic work for clients in the Northeast region. Before this, she was a Senior Managing Director at Public Resources Advisory Group and previously worked as a Senior Managing Consultant at Public Financial Management.

She has also worked as an Analyst, Assistant Treasurer, and Director of Quantitative Analysis and Financing Strategy in New York City’s Office of Management and Budget.

“I have long respected the banking team at Siebert Brandford Shank and its commitment to providing the highest quality service and I am proud to now become a key part of it,” Pai said in the release.

Wasserman formerly worked in NYC’s Office of Management and Budget and was most recently an assistant director and lead quantitative analyst for financings of city-related credits. He also had served as Deputy Treasurer for the Transitional Finance Authority, TSASC, Sales Tax Asset Receivable Corp., and the Fiscal Year 2005 Securitization Corp. and as Vice President for Hudson Yards Infrastructure Corp. He was also formerly the Deputy Treasurer for the New York City Municipal Water Finance Authority and coordinator for the NYC Tax Lien program for OMB.

Previously, Wasserman was a Vice President at Merrill Lynch, where he participated in structuring as senior manager over $3 billion in bond issues for clients in New Hampshire, Connecticut, New Jersey and the New York State Thruway Authority.

“Siebert Brandford Shank is well known for their success and industry professionalism and I am honored I will be able to play an integral role in the firm’s continued growth,” Wasserman said in the release.

Siebert Brandford Shank is the largest minority-owned municipal finance firm in the United States. It was co-founded in 1996 by the late Muriel Siebert, Suzanne Shank, President and CEO, and Napoleon Brandford III, Chairman.

It is headquartered in New York and Oakland and has 17 offices across the nation.
