Ramirez & Co. has hired Paula Dagen as a Senior Managing Director in New York and Michael Mejia as a Vice President in Los Angeles as part of its recent expansion efforts, the firm announced on Friday.
Dagen, who was hired in February, is a veteran banker who has worked at Morgan Stanley for the last 19 years. Dagen's career has been focused on working with New York City and issuers in the tri-state region, as well as the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
Returning to the fold will be associate Matthew McVay, who has been working at JPMorgan for the past two years. McVay began his career at UBS before joining Ramirez. He will work out of the firm's New York office.
On the West Coast, Ramirez said it hired Michael Mejia as a Vice President in Los Angeles. He will focus on California's education and infrastructure sectors.
Mejia started his career with E.J. De La Rosa and continued working at Stifel after it purchased De La Rosa.
