Joseph F. Coleman, Goldman Muni Vet, Dies at 63

Joseph F. Coleman, a veteran of the municipal bond industry, passed away on Jan. 14. He was 63 years old.

He began his career working for the New York City and then moved to Prescott Ball as a municipal analyst.

Mr. Coleman joined Goldman Sachs in 1982 as a generalist and rose to become the head of its municipal credit group. He was named as an All American analyst in 1992. He left Goldman in 1997 to travel and pursue other interests.

Mr. Coleman was very active with his alma mater, St. Peter's University in Jersey City, N.J., and many civic organizations.
