Jim Haddon is leaving Public Financial Management Inc. to join Ramirez & Co., where he will be a member of the senior executive team.

"Ramirez is excited to announce that Jim Haddon will be joining the firm. Mr. Haddon brings over 30 years of experience in both finance and investment management," said Sam Ramirez Jr., senior managing director of Ramirez & Co. "Given his experience and diverse knowledge of the business, he will play a key role in setting strategy and new business marketing for Ramirez in each of the firm's core businesses."

Haddon said he is excited to join Ramirez & Co. in a senior management role.

"I have a lot of respect for Sam Ramirez Sr. and Sam Jr.," said Haddon, who starts his new job on Jan. 20. "They have built one of the leading mid-tier investment banking firms. I am proud to be a part of their leadership team and look forward to helping grow their banking and investment management businesses."

Haddon had been with PFM since October 2009 serving as a managing director in charge of all marketing and new business activities for selected national accounts for both the asset management and public finance businesses. Before joining PFM, Haddon was with Citi for more than 15 years in various investment banking positions. He received his MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1980 and his BA in Economics from Wesleyan University in 1976.

Ramirez, going into its 44th year in business, is looking to Haddon to strengthen the company's  national mid-tier investment banking business.

Ramirez said the firm's core areas of business include underwriting of municipal bonds, corporate debt and equity, a market maker with one of the largest institutional fixed income sales teams in the municipal market and strong high net worth wealth management and institutional asset management businesses.
