Columbia Capital Adds Owner

CHICAGO – Columbia Capital Management LLC has added Courtney Shea to its ownership team.

Shea has been a managing director at the financial advisory since September 2013. She joined Dennis Lloyd and Jeff White as firm owners April 30.

"We couldn't be happier that Courtney agreed to re-double her commitment to the firm by stepping into an ownership role," Lloyd, the firm's president, said in a statement. "Although our ownership group has changed, our focus on high caliber service to our clients remains unchanged, as does our commitment to public finance."

Shea led the Midwestern firm's push for Chicago area and Illinois business.

Shea had long worked as a public finance banker but shifted to advisory work in 2009 when she opened a Chicago office for Acacia Financial Group. Shea previously managed the banking group at the former LaSalle Capital Markets and held banking positions at Siebert Brandford Shank & Co. LLC, Citi, the former Artemis Capital Group Inc. and the former Kemper Securities.

Columbia's roots date back to 1996 when is Lloyd and Les Bond Jr. founded the firm. Columbia ranked 7th among financial advisors in the Midwest last year working on deals valued at $938 million, according to Thomson Reuters data. It ranked third in Illinois last year and second in Missouri, its home base.
