Allyson Belsome Returning to IRS Tax-Exempt Bond Office

WASHINGTON — Allyson Belsome is returning next week to her position as senior manager for field operations in the Internal Revenue Service's tax-exempt bond office, according to the IRS.

TEB's field operations program handles audits of tax-advantaged bonds.

Belsome is returning to TEB from an assignment in the IRS' exempt organizations division, which deals with charities, foundations and other entities that are not required to pay federal income tax. TEB and exempt organizations are both part of the IRS' tax-exempt and government entities division.

Bob Griffo has been serving as acting senior manager of field operations since last summer, while Belsome has been on her detail.He will be returning to his job as work group manager in TEB's compliance and program management program, according to the IRS. That program handles the voluntary closing agreement program, the development of outreach programs and other matters.
