River Place MUD, Texas, Upgraded to A-Plus by S&P

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it raised its underlying rating to A-plus from A on River Place Municipal Utility District (MUD), Texas' outstanding general obligation bonds.

The outlook is stable.

"The upgrade is based on the district's tax base growth, which, in our view, has moderated the debt burden and allowed the tax rate to decline," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Alexander Rawlings.

An unlimited ad valorem tax on all taxable property within the district secures the bonds.
