Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it has raised its underlying rating on Mountaintop Area Joint Sanitary Authority, Pa.'s sewer revenue bonds to A from A-minus.
At the same time, Standard & Poor's assigned its A long-term rating to the authority's series 2015 sewer revenue bonds. The outlook is stable.
"The upgrade reflects our view of the authority's ability to consistently produce adequate to good debt service coverage with the expectation that liquidity will remain strong as in recent years," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Paula Costa.
