Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said it raised its long-term rating and underlying rating on Lebanon County, Pa.'s general obligation debt two notches to BBB-plus from BBB-minus.
The outlook is positive.
"The upgrade is based on the sale of the county-owned nursing home that has resulted in budgetary relief as well as a one-time cash infusion to its general and pension funds," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Hilary Sutton.
